If video killed the radio star, then MTV killed the video with reality television and mindless fluff.
In August of 2009, I wrote about how MTV being forgetful of Gen-X and clueless about Gen-Y. This was in light of the trendy, young, iconic brand closing down their Times Square studios in New York City (I heard from an insider it was because they couldn’t afford their rent.)
But now it seems MTV, who went from showing music videos to becoming a reality television network is thinking about singing a different tune…maybe.
In case you missed it, like I did the first time, MTV is changing their logo to a sleeker, most modern, less grunge look.
