#MusicMonday – Jackson 5 “I Want You Back” (1969) on Ed Sullivan

This is my favourite Jackson 5 song…ever. Every single time I see an old video like this of Michael Jackson as a small kiddie, I think about how talented he was and how sad his life was. [Read more...]

If Michael Jackson nearly broke the Internet, Princess Di would have killed it

Recently, I had a “we agree to disagree” discussion with a friend over who was bigger – HRH Princess Diana or Michael Jackson?

The reason?

Born on January 27, 1997 (this makes him part of Gen-Y, the Millenials), Shaheen is from Swansea, Wales. He is a young Welsh singer who first got the world’s attention on the 2009 season of Britain’s Got Talent — this is the same season with Susan Boyle.

You know that saying, don’t bite the hand that feeds you? Well, what if it was the opposite way around? What if you were bitten by the hand that fed? Do you bite back, or let it keep biting until the chewing subsides and [Read more...]

R.I.P. Michael Jackson

All controversy aside, Michael Jackson was unforgettable. He carved out his image and his style in a way that was legendary. A single sequined glove, a military style jacket, a fedora, a white shirt, short-hemmed black pants, white ankle socks – all of it became almost inseparable from Jackson’s image. No doubt, he was set to take [Read more...]
