Music Monday – But you make me sing like a guitar hummin’

While, you might listen to it and think it’s about some woman of the night, “Cracklin’ Rosie” is actually about a Canadian wine. I’m not a huge fan of 1970s music unless you count ABBA and some random left overs from the 60s, but I do love this song.

Oh, I love my Rosie child —
You got the way to make me happy.
You and me, we go in style …
Cracklin’ Rose, you’re a store bought woman
You make me sing like a guitar hummin’ …

It reminds of the autumn for some reason. This song was Neil Diamond’s first number one hit in the United States in 1970 and it was his breakthrough track into the UK mainstream music market.
