Continuing with our perfume reviews this week, I wanted to tell you about two particular scents from Therapeutate.
Chakra 2 is a sweet, feminine, fresh invigorating scent. It has a citrusy, contemporary smell that I could see one of the women in Mad Men wearing, actually. Rodney Hughes, who runs Therapeutate describes this scent as a modern take on the traditional Oriental perfumes. It’s a mix of sandalwood, jasmine and blood orange in essence. He continues by saying that it is a Buddistic harmony of notes in what I like to think of as a smokey, musical symphony.
Therapeutate scents are designed to be classic scents rather than fashion and trendy.
But the scent that really caught my attention is a new concoction called Vodka no. 5.
So does it smell like Vodka? Yes!
But it’s softer, very clean and it reminds me of New York City.
It’s like a cool fragrance, plucked from the racks of an upper-market department store. Or maybe the cold air, in a half-empty luxury lounge, that when filled is embraced by smokey clouds above plush furniture. Either way, it’s certainly unique.
