As first South Asian artist signed to Interscope Records, Nivla has a lot to live up too. Well, after the crazy success of “Be Easy (Koi Na),” one of my favourite songs, by the way — Nivla’s follow up tracks are always much anticipated by those who know his music well…
For you newbies to Desi music, Nivla is a hip-hop artist of South Asian decent who formed his own record label called Soul Tap Records. He’s out of New York City and for the 2008 Super Bowl was featured as one of the top three overall musical artists by Doritos for their Half-Time Show’s unsigned highlights.
Nivla, together with his Soul Tap team, have a musical style that is a mix or urban NY-styled hip-hop, Bhangra beats and often has hints of flavours of reggaetón.
His latest release, “Never Backing Down (Run This Town Remix)” drops today, September 21. So from us to you, download your own FREE copy below:
