2009 07 projectrunway {iStyle} Project Runway: Pregnant Challenge

By: Jenn Ortiz, guest blogger

So this week, the designers got to put together a look for a mystery celebrity guest. A “big” guest. Rebecca Romijn?! Hotness. F* yes, Monique Lhullier! Two models, an editor, and a designer judging? Very good.

Athea made a gorgeous maxi! Needed some coverup in the boobs though. Safe.

pr6 malvin bio {iStyle} Project Runway: Pregnant Challenge

Malvin – Eggs-bird-nest concept (his words.) Yes, because every pregnant woman wants to be called a mother-hen. Not good. OUT!

pr6 mitchell bio {iStyle} Project Runway: Pregnant Challenge

Mitchell – Gathered shorts on a pregnant girl? Hilarious with the huge ungathered shorts! Uh-oh, bad execution. Can this guy sew at all?

pr6 shirin bio {iStyle} Project Runway: Pregnant Challenge

Shirin – Gorgeous detailing and great color!  High-neck means room for bust support with bra and the fact that she made a coat for a pregnant woman is amazing. If you’ve never been pregnant, just trust me when I tell you its near impossible to find a coat that makes you look good. Nina looked like she wanted to rip it off the model and take it home with her. Winner in my book. Apparently, the winner in PR’s book, too.

Johnny – What’s with that jacket? Oh good didn’t make it down the runway. Still, the dress looked cheap.

pr6 nicolas bio {iStyle} Project Runway: Pregnant Challenge

Nick – Still annoying as shit. Nothing else to say.

pr6 louise bio {iStyle} Project Runway: Pregnant Challenge

Louise – Lovely. Very practical! She thought of the bust expanding and the dress shortening with the belly growing. Very sexy, but not indecent for a pregnant woman. I really liked it.

pr6 gordana bio {iStyle} Project Runway: Pregnant Challenge

Gordana – Perfect! I’d have worn it while pregnant.

pr6 christopher bio 0 {iStyle} Project Runway: Pregnant Challenge

Chris – Has immunity. Nice outfit, very comfortable.

pr6 qristyl bio1 {iStyle} Project Runway: Pregnant Challenge

Qrystyl – Ok. Not much to say here.

pr6 epperson bio {iStyle} Project Runway: Pregnant Challenge

Epperson – Beautiful jumpsuit, but not practical for a pregnant woman having to pee all the time!

pr6 logan bio {iStyle} Project Runway: Pregnant Challenge

Logan – Has been done before. Very safe.

pr6 ramon bio {iStyle} Project Runway: Pregnant Challenge

Ra’mon -Emphasizes the baby bump. I don’t like it. Oh, Rebecca’s face is not pleased.

pr6 carolhannah bio {iStyle} Project Runway: Pregnant Challenge

Carol – Great draping and looks comfortable. Safe.

pr6 irina bio {iStyle} Project Runway: Pregnant Challenge

Irina – Holy shit, I love it. Only problem might be the need for a bra! Boobs grow when you are preggers people!

WHATT!!!! Malvin over Mitchell? Yikes, at least he had a concept! Mitchell keeps f-ing up his execution, so why did he get to stay?

Next week: Uh-ohhh, team challenge. Bring the drama!

p.s. If you want some drama now, just watch Models of the Runway. Damn girls!
