PinkBookMusicMonday Music Monday Heathcliff, Its Me Im Cathy...

Love or hate Brontë, it doesn’t matter because you’ll love “Wuthering Heights”…the song.

It’s one of my favourite songs and it really does seem to cross the generations. Originally written and sung by British songstress, Kate Bush, it was covered by New Zealand darling Hayley Westenra on her Pure album. By the way, Hayley originally released Pure when she was 15-years and it became the fastest-selling (and still climbing) international début classical album…ever.

It’s gorgeous, timeless and classic, just like Chanel’s little black dresses, No.5 perfume and Audrey’s sunglasses.

  • Lovely melodious song. The music is awesome.I love this song so much! Its incredible!
  • me too! :)
  • Wow, don't know what to say to that. Definitely not my type of music at all... both women are very lovely though.
  • Did you listen to at least the first minute of Hayley's?

I like it better than Kate's...by a lot. I know if you've never heard it before, the beginning is really rough, actually. It picks up to the 'real' meat of the song around 0:43.

    :)
