It’s been a Googlicious week {May 17-23, 2009})for Artsylogical finds: Ida, Mary Cassatt and Doodle 4 Google.

I make no secret that I love when Google changes their logo into something fun and I’m always curious to see which ‘holidays’ they choose to publicize. This week was no different with no less than three additions to their main search index.

Google’s logos are always such a great example of a public relations success because they provide such an aware presence of the world around them…and they’re just so much fun!

You Ida, Me Ida

Ida, or Darwinius, is a genus of the Adapiformes from the Eocene epoch. Basically, she’s a 47 million year old fossil unveiled this week by German scientists claiming she’s the missing link to the evolution of human beings. Oh and her discovery is driving the Creationists mad.
