Happy National Whiskey Sour Day!

Gentleman Jack

Today is National Whiskey Sour Day, and to celebrate we’ve teamed up with Gentleman Jack Double Mellowed Tennessee Whiskey to give you a few modern twists on some classic cocktails.

Made by Jack Daniels, Gentleman Jack gets its unique flavor and smoothness by being filtered through maple charcoal after maturation.

This gives it a creamier texture than the original, thus making it the perfect accompaniment to any sour concoction of your choosing.

Gentleman Jack is light amber in colour with a viscous clarity.

It’s aroma is soft and polished, but balanced with sweet orange notes and highlighted with lush spearmint.

Sweeter than the original Jack Daniels, Gentleman Jack rolls mint and dark, ripe apple peels off the tongue paired nicely with a taste of sizzled fried apples.

As it is filtered twice, the spirit gives off a sweet start before settling into a refreshingly long fade with a touch of dry apple peel to finish.

Though, personally, as a bourbon and peach fan, we’re definitely feeling the “Eat a Peach” cocktail and think you absolutely must try it!
