Chocolate Is My Boyfriend: Get Cozy With Bae

‘Tis the season for sweaters, scarves, mittens, fireplaces and delicious hot chocolate is my boyfriend.

Take your hot chocolate awesomeness to the next level with this snugglicious recipe featuring Baileys Original Irish Cream.

Lovingly called “BaE” aka Baileys and Espresso, and created by Miami mixologist (heyyyyyyy, there the 305!), Jessie Laino, it’s perfect as an after dinner treat or dessert on a Girls Night In with your besties.



BaE (Baileys and Espresso)

  • 2 oz Baileys Espresso Crème
  • 4 oz Hot Cocoa
  • Top with Peppermint Whipped Cream*
  • Garnish Mint Leaf

(*)Peppermint Whipped Cream Ingredients:

  • 1 pint Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 tsp Peppermint Extract


  1. Add heavy cream to mixing bowl and mix on low to medium speed.
  2. When the cream starts to thicken stop the mixer, add in the powdered sugar and resume mixing.
  3. When it starts to peak, add in peppermint extract.
  4. Mix on high speed until the cream is thick and stiff.


Drink Preparation:

  1. Combine Baileys Espresso Crème and hot cocoa in a mug and stir gently.
  2. Top with peppermint whipped cream.
  3. Garnish with a mint leaf.
