Blizzard-y It Is, Hot Toddy You Must

… oh, yes.

As the east coast buckles with the wintery weather outside, stay warm with these blizzard-ready cocktails good for any Elsa-esque occasion.

Cruzan’s Spiced Apple Toddy, accented with a little Jim Beam, is the perfect libation for a winter afternoon snuggled up by the fire.

While, on the other hand, Laphroaig’s Feast Toddy is a spicy treat ideal for a cozy day spent indoors with friends and family.

Cruzan® Spiced Apple Toddy

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 parts Cruzan® Estate Diamond® Dark Rum
  • 1/2 part Jim Beam® Apple Liqueur
  • 1/2 part Brown Sugar Syrup*
  • 1/2 part Fresh Lemon Juice

Method:

Combine all ingredients in a warm coffee mug.

Top with hot water.

For garnish, sprinkle fresh grated cinnamon stick and add an orange rose.

(*) Brown Sugar Syrup:

  • Combine equal parts water and brown sugar and heat until dissolved then chill.

 

Laphroaig® Feast Toddy

Ingredients:

  • 1 part Laphroaig® 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
  • 1/2 part ginger liqueur
  • 3 parts hot apple cider
  • fresh ground cinnamon

Method:

Build in a pre-heated coffee mug.

Garnish with a lemon wedge studded with cloves and a dash of fresh ground cinnamon.
