Valentine’s Day Gift Guide For Men

Image Via WeHeartIt

We all know that the majority of the male species is difficult to shop with, shop for and well, just a pain in your backside for most things related to shopping unless it includes an XBox…

That said, We’re put together a few ideas that are simple and seamless to give the dude in your life.

Whether he is the David Beckham-sexual (see what I did there 😉 ) who has everything, the European who can’t get enough Prada sneakers, the luxury club kid who loves his D&G boxers, the hipster who lives off of his indie tunes and artisan coffee, or heck, the sporty dude who never misses an NFL match (and he watches them on multiple screens) — we have you covered

Art of Shaving

Mid-Size Sandalwood Kit

I’ve been an Art of Shaving fan for a long time. In fact, I used to own their women’s Rose-scented collection back in the day. I still have my lather brush!

The Mid-Sized Sandalwood Kit is one of my favourite scents that they make and the Mid-Size Kit is perfect for the guy who travels as it fits TSA guidelines (We all know how most men feel about checking-in their luggage!)

This kit offers the brand’s “4 Elements of the Perfect Shave”:

  • Badger Hair Shaving Brush
  • Sandalwood Pre-Shave Oil Pump(1 fl. oz)
  • Sandalwood Shaving Cream Pump(1.5 oz)
  • Sandalwood After-Shave Balm Pump (1 fl. oz)

Now, what you need to know about these are as follows:

  • Pre-Shave Oil
    • Before shaving, rub a small amount of oil on your hands and massage into the beard. Lather up Shaving cream or soap on top of the gel and shave.
  • Shaving Cream
    • Always shave during or after a hot shower. Using hot water, lather up a small amount of Shaving Cream with a brush or your fingers and shave with the grain. For a closer shave, re-lather and shave lightly across or against the grain. Rinse with cold water and apply After-Shave Balm.
  • After-Shave Balm
    • Apply to face and neck after shaving.

Purchase it, here.

Seriously, this is one of our favorite gifting items, ever, ever, ever.

Soap on a Rope, Vetiver Soap

My dad is a huge fan of this!

The Art of Shaving Vetiver Soap on a Rope is a limited-edition body soap generates a rich and foamy lather that leaves skin feeling smooth and clean.

Infused with the woody aroma of Vetiver, this moisturizing soap is formulated with glycerin, coconut oil and essential oils that simultaneously purify and condition skin.

Retailing for $25 USD, it is free from synthetic dyes and alcohol, and features a built-in plastic weave rope for easy use.

You can purchase the Vetiver scent, here.

OR take a gander at the Cedar Wood and Sage scent, here.

Boss, The Scent

First off, can we just say how freakin’ hot the advertisement for this scent is?

Theo. James.

Ahhhhhhhh, Four.

*hem hem* now, that that is out of the way…

This is a great scent. I have a bottle of it at home for a special someone.

BOSS boasts an exclusive ingredient from Africa: the aphrodisiac Maninka fruit, evocative of passion fruit and rum.

However, the Maninka also evokes something deeper and more profound: the tug of desire and the pull of memory.

Set on a virile leather base, its effect is potent, original, never to be forgotten.

Where to find it: why Macy’s, of course 🙂

Lacoste, Blanc

Really a huge fan this one by Lacoste.

Officially named Eau de Lacoste L.12.12 Blanc, this men’s fragrance is a crisp and cool cocktail of Rosemary and Tuberose mix with Leather, Vetiver and Cedar Wood.

It’s a very clean and modern scent that is definitely suitable for everyday wear. This makes it practical as well as essential.

For me, this is the perfect gift for a guy to keep in his desk drawer at the office or in his gym bag.

It’s a fresh and sporty scent, that is a good EDT to spray/splash before a last minute meeting, after a lunchtime run to the gym etc.

Loveeee it!

Shop it, here, from Macy’s.
