It’s Sweater Weather! Get Cozy With Chico’s, Knits And Some Bourbon

It’s sweater weather!

Yay! Baby. It. Is. Cold. Outside. 🙂

And what better way to get in the mood than with a cozy knit and a delicious toddy, courtesy of Chico’s.

Whether walking among the changing leaves or curling up on the couch with a good book, Chico’s has the perfect selection of cozy sweater styles that will keep you cozy on the chilliest of days.

These knits create the perfect fall/winter outfit when paired with distressed jeans, slim leggings, or a flirty, flared skirt:

Chico’s Kyra Fringe Sweater ($89) updates the classic cowl neck with flattering fringe detail, chic three-quarter length sleeve, and a relaxed silhouette.

Chico’s Lillian Faux-Fur Cardigan ($129) transforms the everyday cardigan into an elegant cozy sweater alternative.

Chico’s Black Label Asymmetrical Cashmere Sweater ($279) is the ultimate cozy sweater that includes one side with a single long sleeve and the other side with a poncho-style design.

You can find these in-store this season at any Chico’s or online at

AND straight from Jeanne Kelley, food writer for Chico’s Inside Chic blog is a sweet recipe for one sweet bourbon based cocktail:

The Cozy Sweater featuring Bulleit Bourbon

(Makes 2 drinks)

  • 2 1/4 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon loose-leaf Earl Grey tea
  • 2 1×2-inch pieces orange peel (orange part only)
  • 1 1-inch piece cinnamon stick
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 1/3 cup half and half
  • 2 tablespoons golden brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Bulleit Bourbon
  • Cinnamon sticks for garnish, optional

  • Bring the water to boil in a heavy small saucepan.
  • Turn off the heat and add the tea, orange peel, cinnamon piece and whole cloves.
  • Cover and let steep 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Strain the tea, discarding the solids.
  • Return the tea to the saucepan and add the half and half and brown sugar.
  • Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the tea almost simmers.
  • Divide the tea between mugs.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of Bourbon for each cup of tea.
  • Add the cinnamon sticks if desired and serve.

Happy Holidays!
