Tara Smith’s Cruelty-Free Hair Products Launch In The U.S.

I can’t.

They. Are. So. Freakin’. Adorable!

Tara Smith, British native and celebrity hair stylist, launches in the United States with her innovative, botanically-infused line of all vegan, ethical and cruelty and gluten-free haircare products.

With a clientele that boasts the likes of Marisa Tomei, Demi Moore, Gerard Butler, and Rosario Dawson — Tara Smith’s product line will range from $16 – $26 and is available at HSN.com and TaraSmith.com.

I was sent a few products to take a look at and I can attest to the fact that they are utterly fabulous.

The line is vegan, cruelty-free and gluten-free.

And not to take away from the organic and purity behind the line, but, I cannot get over how adorable the packaging is and I really must mention that.

As most of you know (or maybe don’t, but now you do!), my day job is in public relations/social media/experiential marketing and I have been doing it for the better part of the past 10-years.

So, to see something that immediately caught my eye because its packaging/shopper marketing was so delicious, but to find out it’s vegan and not tested on animals, simply made my day!

I’m not perfect when it comes to being the most cruelty-free type of beauty product consumer, and I admit that, but when I do get the chance to be, and it’s good, I jump on it and I’m loyal.

I can’t tell you how much I was really pleasantly surprised to get this in my inbox when I was pitched about it and how much I am just excited to share it with you:

“Tested on film stars, not on animals”.

Little Ankee-boo approves!

For My Curly-Haired Girls

Let’s chat about the “Working Curls” Shampoo and Conditioner — (* Note, I asked to be sent this product because I have naturally curly hair)

This product calms frizz, hydrates (ugh, summer dry hair), softens and soothes.

Working Curls is designed to, not only combat frizz, but also to add luster, shine and gloss to curly hair, while, strengthening, hydrating and nourishing hair.

It’s free of parabens and is, in fact, dermatologist and allergy tested.

The packaging has the Southern Crowned Pigeon on it, who originates from New Guinea, and whose feather story is as wild as it is unruly.

Base Coat Serum

The last product I want to tell you about is the Base Coat Serum.

Available for $26 USD, it increases shine by 65-percent and it controls frizz in up-to 80-percent humidity for up to 24-hours.

Ummmm, if you happen to be one of my Florida Girls readers, or from a place that has humidity like my home climate, you absolutely know how much of a big deal that is!

Use after you shampoo and condition your hair before applying your everyday products.

I really like that this product doesn’t feel oily and doesn’t make my hair feel heavy.

Definitely take a look at the rest of the products below and let us know if you decide to try any of them!

Happy Summer, ladies (and gents!) 🙂
