Roots And Wings: Miranda Lambert Partners With Ram Trucks, Easton Corbin Extends Contract

Continuing a partnership that started in late 2014, Miranda Lambert stars in Ram Truck’s latest commercial with her song “Roots and Wings.”

Lambert wrote the song exclusively for Ram’s campaign and Chrysler Group has stated that both the country singer and track were chosen to take the brand beyond their core audience, while still hitting home.

“This campaign is actually designed to broaden the appeal of both Ram and Miranda, beyond our core audiences as we connect with our respective fans in new, meaningful ways,” said Olivier Francois, Chrysler Group’s chief marketing officer.

“In simple terms, the target for our ‘Roots and Wings’ campaign is not a single target. Men, women, all ages, and sure, we hope the millions of die-hard fans Miranda has will like it too.”

The first print advertisement ran back in January debuting in the February 2 edition of Country Weekly magazine, which featured Lambert on the cover.

The video for the track, which plays during intermission at Miranda’s Platinum tour, was created by Ram Truck’s advertising agencies, The Richards Group and G7 Entertainment Marketing.

Production for the actual video, special effect etc., came from Imaginary Forces (IF).

Lambert began working with Chrysler Group back in November 2014 when she auctioned off a customized Ram Laramie Longhorn truck together with customized memorabilia to benefit her MuttNation Foundation.

The campaign raised a total of $66,000 UDS to better the lives of shelter animals.

“Miranda Lambert is a perfect partner for Ram. She’s a true truck lover who lives her life by her own rules like so many of our Ram truck owners,” said Mr. Francois.

“She’s been around trucks her entire life, having been born on a farm in a small town in Texas to now owning a ranch in Oklahoma.”

Let’s Ride

However, Lambert isn’t the first country singer to partner with Ram Trucks in recent months.

In fact, fellow Florida Gator, Easton Corbin, is a Ram Truck’s spokesmusician.

Corbin, an agriculture graduate from the University of Florida’s College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, has been a Ram Trucks partner since 2012.

“When you think about songs you want to perform, you often think about songs you heard while in your favorite truck,” said Corbin.

“It’s easy to write a song like ‘Let’s Ride’ because it is all about fun and having a good time, which is what the Ram brand is all about.”

This summer, Corbin’s partnership extended to the release of a new track called “Let’s Ride” –

Corbin’s partnership also includes a Ram Trucks custom music video and the track will appear on his to-be-released album, ‘Gas Monkey Garage’ from Mercury Nashville.

“We continue to look for unique ways to creatively show how Ram trucks are an integral part of our culture and the everyday lives of our customers,” said Francois.

“It is rewarding to know that Easton, one of the hottest young artists in country music today, wrote the song inspired by his ongoing experiences behind the wheel of our Ram trucks.”
