On the heels of the the original two NAKED palettes, NAKED Basics by Urban Decay is their matte sister.
Smaller in size, but packed with six full-sized eyeshadow colours, it’s a steal!
Retailing for approximately $27 USD in store, the palette includes:
- Venus (soft/pastel, off-white semi-matte)
- Foxy (pale beige matte — also available in NAKED 2 or individually)
- Walk of Shame (extremely light nude pink matte — only available in the Build Your Own Palette)
- Naked 2 (a rosy-brown-taupe matte)
- Faint (soft, warm, brown matte)
- Crave (deep brown-black matte)
One difference, I really like about this palette versus the other two, is the packaging.
NAKED Basics is a very slim, rubberized compact, which makes it as dirt-resistant as it is portable.
I think it’s a great stocking stuffer for the holidays, or New Year’s mini-gift for a girlfriend. She can take it to work, or keep it in her purse!
One of the best things about Urban Decay is that their shadows are extremely well pigmented and extremely easy to blend upon application.
I think this is a lovely palette is a welcome change to the numerous shimmer/sparkle/glitter ones that are on the market!
