Cesare Casadei, creative director for CASADEI and Prabal Gurung, teamed up with Prabal this season to create CASADEI for Prabal Gurung SS13.
Debuting on the runway during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York, the collection consisted of two styles made to blend the inspiration of Gurung’s collection as well as CASADEI’s aesthetics.
“When I first met Prabal Gurung there was an immediate connection. I have always admired his aesthetic and felt it to be very in line with what we do at CASADEI – sexy, sleek and empowering to women. However, it was Prabal’s passion, deep commitment to the finest quality, craftsmanship and attention to detail that we value above all at CASADEI that inspired me to collaborate on a collection I knew we would both be proud of.”

The first style of the collection is a closed-toe pump made of mesh, giving a provocative glimpse of the foot through sheer material.
While the second, is a sandal that seductively wraps around the foot in ayers snake and patent leather.
The details on both pieces are laser cut and hand painted with either a Lucite wedge heel creating a smoky, ombre effect and a galvanized silver blade heel — a signature to the CASADEI house.
