Father’s Day Gift Guide 2012

I love my daddy and with him in mind, below are my picks for this year’s Father’s Day!

Just like the Four Elements, I really love this Perfect Shave Ocean Kelp set from The Art of Shaving. In fact, it’s pretty much boyfriend-worthy, if you happen to be dating someone as a birthday or Christmas present.

Ocean Kelp is one of the brand’s latest and offers up a new scent as well as a lightweight, water-based shaving regimen. I love how fresh, clean and crisp it smells and I’m sure, HE will too!

I’ve always been a fan of French brand Lacoste. My pink bathrobe is a staple in my daily life alongside it’s matching towel set, so you’ll get no arguments from me on their quality or appeal.

Their latest scent, EAU DE LACOSTE L.12.12 Rouge, is a must have! It’s a triple blend of exotic spices: Madagascan black pepper, Indian ginger and Guatemalan cardamom.

And just like Lacoste, they blend to create a dynamic, sporty fragrance that embodies that sporty edge that the L.12.12 Collection (Blanc, Bleu and Vert) is known for.

Another fragrance, I’m really liking this season is the alluring evening version of the Hugo Boss best-seller, Boss Bottled.Night.

The heart of the nighttime version of the brand’s signature scent is interesting blend of masculine floralcy, combining green and nutty cardamom with a synthesis of sweet Jasmine and African Violet. This is an absolute great scent for summer.

On a similar note, I’ve always really enjoyed Thymes. Their candles, colognes and body lotions are second to none. So when I found out about their Naia collection, I thought it would a perfect gift for dad and for the summer!

Developed with yerba mate, a South American herb renowned for its skin rejuvenating properties, the Naia fragrance collection revitalizes not only your senses, but your skin as well. Evoking a singular sense of calm and clarity, Naia transports dad to a refreshing escape in nature, heightening his self-awareness and focus so he can better appreciate the beauty of life’s every moment.

Moving away from fragrance and into haircare, I’m really liking the new products Redken has come out with recently. Both their Intra Force line for thinning hair and the new Men’s Mint line are worth a peek for dad.

The Intra Force is an exclusive 3-step system for men (and women) in a refreshing minty formula, developed to combat the key causes of thinning hair while reducing breakage by up to 95%.

While, the Men’s Mint line is straight-up a rush to the senses that stimulates, revitalizes and chills the scalp with sensations HE will adore.

*Available at select salons

And from haircare to skincare, I’m really feeling these the Murad for Men line of products (and no, it has nothing to do with the fact that we share part of a name!)

Their Soothing Skin, Lip and Cuticle healing salve ($16), Razor Burn Rescue ($35) and Sensitive Skin Soothing Serum® ($49.50) are a few that I think should be bathroom staples.

For example, the Sensitive Skin Soothing Serum® has Hyaluronic Acid and Glycolipids in this weightless serum improve hydration, calm irritated skin and reduce sensitivity. Formulated with super hydrators that hold up to 1,000 times their weight in water, Sensitive Skin Soothing Serum eases irritation caused by waxing, professional skincare services, sunburn and allergens.

The Soothing Skin and Lip contains Vitamin E to condition and help relieve chapping and cracking, Lanolin to protect against environmental dehydration and BHAs to gently exfoliate and smooth away dry patches. While, the Razor Burn Rescue reduces ingrown hair, bumps and irritation by infusing skin with a unique blend of healing antioxidants and redness reducing anti-inflammatories. Glycolic Acid clears irritating dead skin and debris from hair follicles.

It’s a collection you really can’t go wrong with. Currently, they are offering free shipping on the Murad Man line and a free gift:
