Pre-Fall 2012: Alice + Olivia

Resembling a Jordi Labanda illustration crossed with the famed Café de Flore as the backdrop doused in rose-petals, Alice + Olivia always produce a lookbook worth gawking at.

Under the direction of Stacey Bendet, the collection features a model styled in a beret (and sometimes a book of poetry) alongside a iron-wrought table looking very “tried-and-true Parisian gamine.”

The label, known for its boldness, cut no corners this season using bright colours, prints and a lot of trousers set to elongate the figure.

Flares pop up a bit throughout the collection, channeling the collections inner 1970s theme.

Bendet’s collection could easily be described as modern-vintage for its use of graphic prints, sequins, cat-eye sunglasses frames and simple silks.

We won’t lie though, we’re quite a fan of the leather shorts. *meow*

The best part about the collection is the ability for the wearer to mix and match the different pieces.

Alice + Olivia pre-Fall 2012 could easily fit into any woman’s wardrobe.
