  • A Double Dose of Man: David Beckham & Nautica Voyage

Obligatory man-stuff 🙂

Let me put it to you this way: be different this year and go for something fun, different and trendy.

When thinking of Nautica’s Voyage, think one word: CLEAN.

Think a more icy version of Cool Water by Davidoff, if you had to compare this scent to another one.

It’s very fresh and airy, but not typical like Aqua de Gio, and that’s something I really enjoy about it.

(… and just so you know, when this post was written, Voyage was the #2 most purchased fragrance for men on Amazon.com)

In collaboration with Coty, David Beckham HOMME was created to reveal the essence of the charismatic man with style.

”I wanted to create a modern, masculine fragrance that reflects my style.”

– David Beckham

I love David Beckham.

Like a lot.

Plus, I have a girl crush on his wifey, Posh.

But that has nothing to do with this review.

New for 2011, HOMME was created by Pierre Negrin of Firmenich and is a composition of citrus, blended with ginger and Szechuan pepper. Thus, it’s an easy fit for the woodsy-spicy category of men’s cologne’s.

The base is mahogany, patchouli and musk. If you’re a fan of David Beckham’s INTENSE Instinct, then this is for you.

  • L’Occitane – Delice des Fleurs Rose & Violette

I was so excited about L’Occitane’s Delice des Fleurs when it came out.

Like super, super, super excited.

Because L’Occitane mixes my absolute two favourite floral scents into one delicious bottle: rose and violet.

It smells like sensually sassy sophistication in a bottle.

With it’s vanilla base, this treat is candy for skin. Plus, it comes in a hand cream, lipgloss and solid perfume as well.

Get it, here.

  • Lavanila Labratories – Forever Fragrance – Vanilla Grapefruit

“Awaken your inner spirits with this luscious blend of sparkling grapefruit, fresh lime, and warm cedarwood softened in a base of rich Madagascar vanilla.

Sweetly seductive and kissed by sunshine, this uniquely crisp scent is destined to be a cult classic.

Lavanila Labratories

This is absolutely a fantastic gift for the working woman or young professional.

It’s small, purse-friendly and long-lasting.

Vanilla Grapefruit is very sweet.

At first roll, there is a strong hint of grapefruit, but it eventually dries into a creamy, luxurious vanilla scent.

Plus, it’s pink and comes in these beautiful floral bottles.

  • KEDS for Opening Ceremony

America’s favourite shoe brand, Keds, has been around for roughly a century and with their first-ever garment collection, they decided to launch it in co-op with high-end hipster store, Opening Ceremony.

The debut resort line has about 85 pieces and can be found in-stores or on the Opening Ceremony website. The great thing about this entire collection is that the price point is $40-$400, so there is something for everyone within it’s folds.

The resort collection has everything from an adorable Peter Pan collar romper to floral pedal pushers to colour-blocked tees and bright red skirts.

Favourite piece (and splurge?) …

This navy blue, 100% wool, double-breasted wool jacket:

  • All Saints

Investment piece alert!

Another repeat from our Holiday Primping Guide we had to share one more time was this beautiful dress from All Saints…

… I got it for my birthday as a present from my best friends 🙂 *squeee*

It’s the 100% wool dress, Benedicta, from AllSaints.

Specifically, this is an investment piece because of a few reasons:-

  1. It’s black, therefore you can wear it anyway that you want.
  2. It’s 100% wool, therefore you can wear it in the Winter, just change it up with different blazers/cardigans/ coats.
  3. It’s sleeveless, therefore you can wear it in the winter or in the Fall, just change it up with different blazers/cardigans/ coats.
  4. The dress is fitted, tailored well and has a cowl neck, therefore it can be taken from day-to-night very easily.

Now, if you can’t find this exact dress at All Saints online or in-store, thinking about getting a dress similar to this for someone is a brilliant idea.

Believe me, whoever you purchase this (or something similar) for, will greatly appreciate it.

This isn’t just the regular ‘fashion’ or ‘trendy’ dress. It has a purpose, and if it’s great quality, it will pretty much last forever.

  • Gaiam

Also, making an appearance in our Holiday Primping Guide was this silk piece from Gaiam.

We love this. Like we love it.

Just like the All Saints dress above, this is another investment piece.

Belt or no belt, boots or stilettos, chunky jewelry or droplets of diamonds and pearls — the choices are up to you — but you better believe this our dress for New Year’s Eve 2011!

If you’re familiar with Little Pink Blog, you might remember my Karen Millen styling piece, in there I also stressed how every girl should have a Little Black Dress.

In fact, I think every girl should have three.

  1. The casual
  2. The professional
  3. The sexy/dressy/clubby/nice

This is no exception and fits somewhere in between the “professional” and “nice” category.

It’s a contemporary and chic, very versatile version!

  • Fraas

No holiday gift guide could be complete without the mother of all accessories … the scarf.

Definitely consider Fraas this holiday season.

The 130-year old, German brand has their hand in every nook and cranny of the sector and has the perfect item for She-Who-Has-Everything or Him.

I love this piece, for example. It’s very urban-tropical with it’s vibrant beads, distinctive contrasts and styling.

The beading is exquisite and it easily wraps for no-fuss travel.

The quality is top-notch and most of all with Fraas, there is something for everyone within its walls.

of All Kinds:

  • Pong – iPhone Case

If you’re looking for a great gift for a techie in your life, consider Pong.

Pong is the world’s leading marker of smart phone and tablet cases that reduce radiation exposure.

Go green!

They make everything from iPhone cases, to cases for the iPad, Blackberry devices and Androids. Each these cases feature a proprietary and patented radiation-reducing antenna technology.

Pong’s new collection of mobile and iPad cases range in price from $49.99-$99.99 USD. They come in a variety of styles and colors, are easy to put on and take off.

  • Karen Millen – iPhone Case

Isn’t the 30th Anniversary Swarovski-enrusted iPhone case from Karen Millen to die for?

It’s gorgeous.

I dieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I’m a glutton for sparkles.

Rachel Zoe moment over.

But yes, this is the perfect gift for, not only, She-Who-Has-Everything, but She-Who-Deserves-It.

And speaking of Swarovski, did you know they made USB sticks?

  • Swarovski Elements 2GB USB-Stick

There is nothing more I can say besides… love.

Buy yours here.

  • MyPublisher Cards

Looking for the perfect, custom-designed, good quality holiday cards?

Then look no further than MyPublisher.

You can design your cards with multiple images, choose your own quality of paper, type of inserts (mine were stripes) and types of envelop.

This is definitely one of the most user-friendly websites I’ve encountered for on-demand custom printing.

So much so, that should you so choose to connect MyPublisher to your Facebook account, you can pull images from your Facebook for your custom printing.

One of the things I really enjoyed about the entire process of making my own holiday cards (besides quick shipping) was that it was extremely customizable.

I was able to choose from a wide variety of fonts, insert as many images as I wanted (depending on the theme), pick out different colours and adjust the look and feel of the card to fit my exact tastes.

That’s something that you don’t often find within a lot of on-demand printing.

Love. Love. Love.

  • Club W

So I discovered Club W when Abby (my go-to wine enthusiast!) and I attended their launch party at the Sanctuary Hotel in NYC earlier this month.

Put a face to the name -- Abby and I at my birthday!

I met one of their founders, Geoff McFarlane, who explained that the main idea behind Club W is that everyone — no matter age, sex, or income — should be able to enjoy wine.

Therefore, for $40 USD a month, they’ll send you three different bottles of wine with the goal being that the end customer gets to experience something unique, hand-picked and of excellent quality.

As I’ve learned over the past few years, a good wine doesn’t have to be expensive, and just because a wine is expensive, doesn’t mean it’s any good.

Order, here.
