Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen was the official ambassador at Fashion’s Night Out Brasil 2011.
Taking place Monday September 12, 2011 at Hotel Fasana in São Paulo, the event consisted of cocktails, fashion and charity.
Bündchen auctioned off all of the eight dresses from her most recent editorial spread (inside the current issue) in Vogue Brasil.
Each of the eight dresses were created by modern designers honoring great Brazilian fashion icons of the past.
All revenue earned was donated to various Brazilian NGOs that care about the environment.
“It is very important to preserve. People see it as something separate, but it is part of our lives. If the environment is sick, we are sick too,” she said.
Bündchen wore a stunning yellow Pedro Lourenço dress from his 2012 Resort collection, accessorized by a gorgeous pair of Alexandre Birman heels.
We love this.
It’s really fantastic to see fashion doing what it can to help out where it can.
Most of all, it’s even better to see people, with the presence that Bündchen has in her native land, doing what she can for the world’s last remaining untouched, vast-spreading rain forest, the Amazon.
