Mini-Makeup Review: A “Love Struck” Hard Candy Fall 2011

While, running around Lincoln Center during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York this season, I was gifted a little baggie of goodies from Hard Candy (from the brand themselves, FTC,. via GBK)

As someone who always knew the brand, but never tried it, I was really curious.

All the products I got are new for 2011 and can be found at a local retailer near you.

I love this eyeliner… a lot. It’s their liquid liner, “Walk the Line.”

I didn’t try the last-serum and I have no intention of testing it out.

What I loved about this liquid eyeliner are two things, the application process is smooth because the texture of the product is rich and second, the pigment is deep and glossy.

The best part about this is that you can apply it very thinly on your upper lid for a more natural look.

The same love can’t be said for the “Lashaholic” mascara. It’s not as pigmented or as heavy. I’ll pass.

The thing is, that’s okay. It’s a matter of taste.

I, personally, am a huge fan of Diorshow Blackout, MAC Studio Fix Bold Lash and Maybelline Falsies. But those create a heavier, and far more dramatic look.

But one thing that I did appreciate a lot about “Lashaholic” is that it didn’t clump and went on to my lashes extremely even. That was a definite plus.

“Love Struck” is a tinted lip balm that I really enjoyed using.

I have a few long lasting lip wear products that do tend to dry out your lips, so I used this on top of them.

Whether, on its own or on top of something else. These tinted lip balms are certainly a plus and are long-lasting.

If you purchase any of these, let me know how it turns out!
