Little Pink Holiday Gift Guide: 10 Treats for 2010

Hello lovelies 🙂

Last year, we did a holiday gift guide for the Advertising and Public Relations men and women in your life.

This year, our theme is “Letting Go” — ie) Inhale Courage, Exhale Fear… gifts to psychologically just free yourself to the universe… in the style of Pink PR of course!

Without further ado:-

ANAMA Momentus basics

HER

or

Regan Smith Clarke

HIM

We love ANAMA Momentus basics.

The material is soft, it drapes oh so chic on the body and the colours are so basic you can mix, match and wear in any fashion you wish.

These are made using the latest in Lanzing Modal fabric technology — in other words they are are made of all-natural cellulose fibers that come from Beachwood allowing the fabric to become soft and supple.

Momentus pieces are soft, luxurious and feel, oh so,  amazing!

Now apply that to Regan Smith Clarke.

An indie brand out of Boston, it’s street meets urban chic.

We picture our guys wearing these prints under a trendy jacket, dark wash denim and some black loafers.

Made from cotton, the material is just manly enough for the guy in your life.

It’s simple and fun. Dress it down during the day, or dress it up at night — we love them!

Both of these brands and pieces are great to change your style.

Sometimes even if you are down and out — a little change will do you good. Sometimes it’s not really about how you look at yourself, but how others look at you.

And if you look damn good — then hey, why not? 🙂

Uggs!

Earmuffs, Scarf, Gloves

HER

Okay, we concede, this has little to with “letting go” as much as it does with pure comfort… and these, these we absolutely love.

We cannot begin to tell you how easy life is when your ears aren’t freezing off your head, your fingers aren’t shaking from the cold and you don’t feel suffocated by the frigid air.

If anything, investing in at least one of these pieces is more than worth it’s weight in gold.

And if we only had to pick one — Earmuffs!

Mad Men Seasons 1-4

HIM & HER

Who doesn’t love getting wrapped up in someone else’s drama.

Especially, if it looks like Don Draper, with the wit of Roger Sterling and the guts of Peggy Olson.

Why? How about why not?

Their lives are far more screwed up than ours will ever be and well, Betty Draper for Mother of the Year…mostly…

And besides, who doesn’t love a fiery redhead named Joanie? 🙂

Paulo Coelho’s

“The Alchemist”

HIM & HER

This is just my Inhale Courage, Exhale Fear book of choice.

No, seriously, it’s life changing and you’ll learn something new each time you read it.

End the decade on a good note — go find your personal legend.

It’s out there, you may have lost sight of it, but it’s there waiting for you to come capture it. 🙂

Borghese Fango

Ristorativo Masque

HIM & HER

I got my hands on this right before Thanksgiving and I tried it out for the first time.

Let’s just say, my life has been a little stressful lately and this was a total welcomed addition to my weekly routine.

The Borghese Fango Ristorativo Masque is a quick and easy treatment to rehydrate dried out skin and keep your face and body feeling refreshed.

Especially, since in the winter months it is extremely important to continually keep your skin moist. The weather outside will make your skin porous (this whole nose peeling thing, dry knuckles thing — so not cute!)  and actually water loss increases how uncomfortable and irritable your skin will really be.

Therefore, I’m all about doing one of these masques on my face before bed 1-2 times a week, rinsing, moisturizing and drifting into a blissful slumber.

VitaMan

or

American Crew Gift Set

HIM

I’m actually a big fan of these two kits.

In the past, I’ve had both and given them to my father to use.

VitaMan offers every grooming product necessary to keep guys looking their best:  VitaMan Shave Cream, After Shave, Face Moisturizer, Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Cleanser.

American Crew offers a stimulating, classic kit to keep guys cool, ready to brace whatever is thrown at them: Daily Shampoo, Stimulating Conditioner, Classic Body Wash, Precision Shave Gel and Post-Shave Cooling Lotion.

I think scents are very important and VitaMan is a bit on the more soft and organic scent, while American Crew is very strong a bit spicy.

VitaMan for daytime – American Crew for night.

Mp3 Gift Cards –

Amazon.com or iTunes

HIM & HER

“If music be the food of love, play on.”

~ Shakespeare

Who doesn’t love music?

And most of all, the best thing about an electronic gift card for Mp3 music is that places like Amazon.com and iTunes offer such a wide variety of music that you never know what you’ll discover new, fresh and different!

Explore.

“Music should strike fire from the heart of man, and bring tears from the eyes of woman.”

Marc Jacobs BANG

HIM

or

Marc Jacobs Daisy or Lola

HER

Okay, I love Marc Jacobs.

My mother loves and I mean loves Daisy. It makes her feel fresh, new and vibrant.

I, on the other hand, am a huge fan of Lola. It’s just so sassy, enticing and lovely.

The thing is, Marc Jacobs has a scent out for men called BANG.

And while, the advertisements might not appeal to anyone besides gay men and women who umm… are attracted to those types of advertisements, BANG smells amazing!

I love it’s scent on a guy and think it’s the perfect scent for a date night or evening out for the man, father, brother or boyfriend in your life.

Not only that, but Marc Jacobs uses a lot of unique combos and scents that most perfumers don’t think of.

So believe, me, his fragrances will be a welcome addition to your shelf!

Lip Gloss it Out:

Smith’s Rosebud

or

C.O. Bigelow Ultra Mentha

HER

These are just my favourite lip treatment and remedies and AMAZING stocking stuffers.

One isn’t really better than the other, in my personal opinion, it’s just a matter of what you like.

Smith’s is great for dry, chapped or windburned skin — specifically, your lips.

I’ve even heard of people using this product for blemishes or diaper rash on babies.

I don’t claim to know about that or would be comfortable doing that with it — but it’s definitely a lip saver and occasionally I will use it with my makeup as a base or something to give off a soft glow.

For $6 you can carry around a multi-purpose little tin in your purse!

C.O. Bigelow Ultra Mentha Lipshine has been a quiet obsession of mine for quite sometime now.

I really do love it.

What I love about this is that it’s amazing for chapped and dry lips.

But not only that, a dab on your teeth is an instant breath freshener too!

It’s very light and sweet. Best. $7.50. Ever.

NARS Orgasm

&

Super Orgasm

HER

Okay, this one is a total “fake it until you make it” type of deal… but not really.

A lot of people out there will tell you that Orgasm is the best blush in the world and it is true — or at least its one of them.

This is because NARS developed a shade that goes very well on every single skin tone, and not only that, but then they developed it into a lip gloss, nail polish, trio, illuminator and a glitterfied version called Super Orgasm.

Don’t let the name fool you, or disgust you (depending on your tastes,) just recognize that if you need to fake it until you make it to make yourself feel better, or give someone who is feeling a little Debbie Downer these days, you cannot go wrong with these from NARS.

Be pretty, be beauty and shine 🙂
