As the holiday season gets into full swing, how many nights a week do you fly out of the office on the way to yet another jolly event, toting your favorite, festive hand bag and rocking those fabulous heels you nabbed for a killer price last March?

You’re make-up is perfect, and your jeans are amazing but all of these things put together only produce an outfit.  What if putting on the perfect party dress wasn’t that easy?

14-years ago, even before a paralyzing car crash dramatically altered Angela Irick’s world and placed her in a wheelchair, Irick wasn’t really focused on fashion trends all that much.  She was a friend who preferred to help her girlfriends select outfits and only bought what she liked, forgoing hours of shopping leisurely.

Using a wheelchair after her accident didn’t make shopping any easier.

Irick only became more frustrated about the lack of fashion options that were available to people with disabilities, especially jeans…

Trying to find the right pair of jeans was like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

I am 5′ 9″ and 110 lbs. and due to my height I had a difficult time even before my disability when it came to finding jeans and being in a wheelchair didn’t make the task any easier.

The clothing that I bought had to be top quality because the stitching would tear or rip when getting dressed.

Determined to change these circumstances it wasn’t long before Irick channeled her frustration into inspiration and founded her new women’s fashion line, Heels with Wheels.

Irick’s mission is to help other women that have been through a life changing experience see their ability, not their disability.

“We want to show the world that life does go on once you have sustained a disability.  There are many ways to express your sense of freedom: the arts, music, writing, sports and many other talents you never knew you had or thought you would never do again.

There are no limits to what you can achieve — for us it’s Fashion!”

Since their founding, Angela’s team has earned tremendous acclaim and grown widely.

Her current line has 15 designs with more to come; the first ‘Heels with Wheels’ fashion show took place on October 22nd, 2010; and the ‘Heels with Wheels’ Facebook Page is at 1,500+ Fans strong.

Watch Out Christian Siriano, Angela Irick is indeed one fierce fashion force to be reckoned with.
