Italian designers are heating things up on the Milan runways with their Spring/Summer 2011 collections.
After countless seasons of basic black, this week’s fashion celebration is coming alive with both bright refreshing pallets and bold prints.
Incorporating cheerful shades of orange, violet, green and royal blue, Italian designers are pulling inspiration from exotic island getaways and capitalizing on the summer vacation spirit.
The message was simple—carefree couture. [Read more…]
About a month ago, I got an invite to see Project Runway finalist, Althea Harper’s Ready-To-Wear SS11 line during New York Fashion Week SS11 as well as attend a special tech-fashion event held afterward in her honour by SWAGG Fashion and Sarah Evans.
I mean who doesn’t love the opportunity to talk and walk tech, sip cocktails and see lots of gorgeous clothing?

When your clients include the ultra-outrageous Lady Gaga and Brooklyn-based MGMT, normal is just not in your vocabulary.
It’s true, the purpose of a runway presentation is first and foremost to draw attention to your collection, well French-born Charlie Le Mindu did just that.
Le Mindu stayed true to his outlandish reputation, shocking guests at his London show earlier this week by sending his models down the catwalk adorned in Noritaka Tatehana pink platforms, his one-of-a-kind headpieces and nothing else. [Read more…]

Whether it is working the catwalk, posing in an editorial or flaunting the latest trends across strategically placed billboards, models make their presence known.
Each entices the viewer to take a closer look at the brand they are representing, and inevitably are used to spark a connection and build relationships with the consumer.
Why then do they tend to represent an insignificant percentage of style connoisseurs? [Read more…]
September 14, 2010 marked a very important announcement from social media platform-heavyweight, Twitter: they are changing their layout.
This is a huge deal because it’s the first time [Read more…]
I’m one lucky girl.
I am. I am. I am.
And I would like to personally thank the amazing Liane Membis for including me in her project.
On Monday September 13, 2010 I was quoted in a CNN article about women, beauty and ‘perfection.’ I had quite a few people (friends, Twitter buddies and family) reach out to tell me that they not only agreed with that I said, but they wholeheartedly appreciated that I said it. [Read more…]
