Recently, the lovely people over at Charlie Lapson and my good friend Stefan Pinto contacted me about some urber cute accessories.

Not one to pass up a good opportunity to try something new, I gave it a shot:-

Key Chain on my keys

Charlie Lapson sent me a coin purse and a key chain holder.

To be honest, I was not entirely sure I wanted the key chain holder, afterall, I have enough on my ring as it is. But I was convinced otherwise, when they told me,

“You’ll like it, we’ll send you something bright enough that you’ll never miss your keys.”

… and sure enough, they were right.

If you’re like me, your purse is the “Woman Cave:” an endless pit of darkness and stuff.

In the Woman Cave

Needless to say, the bright yellow definitely helped without a doubt. I really like it and have found it’s size as well as colour not only fashionable, but useful and holding true to its function: to help me locate my keys.

Front

Back

The other item they sent me was this uber chic little coin purse. I found it to be really cute and rather functional as well.

Now, I typically walk around with a giant Vera Bradley wallet that I’m in love with and I keep replacing it whenever it goes to fashion heaven because I’ve killed it from use.

So I’m always a bit skeptical when anyone tries to change my routine. Especially, since I’m so used to my routine. But I found the Lapson coin purse to be a welcome change, in fact, I found it downright adorable.

In the palm of my hand

It’s not as big as it looks in pictures and fits just as many coins as my Vera.

This may not be important to you, but its important to me because I always walk around with a lot of quarters. You never know when you’ll need them — pay phone, Coca-Cola from the vending machine, extra change on a cab ride etc. etc. etc.

But quarters are heavy and when there are a lot of them in one place, they become really bulky and clog up the coin area of your purse. With this Charlie Lapson creation it actually makes life just a little easier because it’s where I stored all of my quarters.

Needless to say, I was definitely happy with the samples, heck, I tried to be all fancy and get Ankee to pose with it; she ignored me.

The most I could do was put it next to her.

As you see, it’s the size of her head, if not smaller :)

with Anklet, the kitten :)

Now, you can win the set, brand new, straight from Charlie Lapson themselves:-

  1. To stay healthy this summer, I have been trying to eat better. I switched all my pasta and rice to whole grain and I have been incorporating more vegetables and fruits into my diet. I've also been trying to stay more active. Having a desk job means a lot of sitting. I've been making a point to walk more during my lunch breaks and to generally just move around more.

To stay healthy this summer I am spending more time with my kids outdoors and taking them on excursions. Also when they are in camp, I do a cardio tennis session. It's great fun and any level can play, plus some laughter is always good!

To stay healthy this summer – and gain a lil more confidence on the beach! – I have been watching what I eat and do. I began doing workout videos online 3x a week, and I eat smaller portions more frequently. I also drink a lot more water – which is great for dealing with the NYC heat wave AND your metabolism and skin!

  4. Fun, i'm always walking around with change sprinkled in my bag! lol
To stay healthy this summer, i'm playing hockey on sundays, rollerblading throughout the city, and trying to stay loyal to Yoga.

    I have a couple of things. :D

    1) I moved from NYC to Chicago this summer. Let me tell you…it's nice to wake up without the clenching pain in my stomach and horrendous amounts of anxiety. :P
    2) I went from being a chair potato to running three miles several times a week.
    3) I gave white flour and processed sugar the boot (mostly).
    4) I've been releasing problems and surrendering. A lot of times, there's simply nothing more I can do to make things move along, so I have to surrender and do my best.
    5) I decided not to have time for men that have no time for me. Can I tell you, once again, how nice it is to wake up without tension because of some outside source?!

Yeah, I'm feeling waaaaaay healthier and more fulfilled already!

  6. Pattyflorit19 says:

I'm trying to stay healthy by setting a stable work out routine…meaning 30 minutes of some type of exercise everyday- and I mean Monday through Sunday! Since it is summer, and I am off (one of the perks of being a teacher) I've been able to experiment with different types of workouts. One day yoga, another jogging, or even laps in the pool. I hope to continue being active throughout the rest of the summer and incorporating more fruits and vegetables in my diet!

  7. To Stay Healthy this summer, I will be swimming twice a week, going to dance classes twice a week and hiking once a week. I also will be doing strength training every other day. Also, I plan to add more organic greens and fruits to my diet.

I am a fan of Charlie Lipson on facebook

Also already friend of stefan pinto on fb.

So 3 entries for me! yay! :)

    Thank you!

  8. Sasha, this is Dad. So what are you doing to stay healthy this summer?

  9. Walking around NYC, taking my vitamins & eating lots of green leafy veggies,
    lol.

But I can't enter my own contest! :)

  10. KarmicVisions says:

Recommitting to yoga on a regular basis, making time to put me first, which included becoming single again! Remembering to find the simple joys to stay healthy on the inside. Veggie gardening or trying.

  11. I planning on sticking to my five to six day a week exercise program! I've been a wee bit slack this year.

  12. To stay healthy this summer I will indulge in all the wonderful fruits and veggies the season brings. I will stick to my 1 raw meal a day rule. I will continue my 5 day workout plan and add 1 day of yoga for clarity, balance and flexibility. But the main way I will stay healthy is to stress less, laugh more and enjoy every second with my kids!

  13. Hushmath says:

This summer I have been much more active. I've been working out at least five days a week doing a variety of cardio and strength training. Taking different classes at the gym has helped me to stay motivated and has prevented me from getting bored with my workouts. I'm not dieting but I'm making a conscious effort to eat healthier. Instead of eating chips or other packaged snacks I have been eating lots of fruits, veggies, nuts, and whole grain foods as much as possible. If I feel like eating something like chocolate or cookies, I won't deprive myself. I just eat a little bit once in a while. It's all about balance.

  14. Suziems1 says:

To stay healthy this summer…I have been walking on the treadmill, tummy crunches, squats, getting outside in the sun to garden, mow and I have been eating better…more fruit, veggies, and good carbs. I have actually lost 42lbs. I love to keep in shape! Also just got back from a trip to California visiting relatives in San Diego and Glendale areas and Santa Monica. Had a blast…I am also laughing a lot, which is good…I love enjoying my family and friends. ;-)

  15. To stay fit this summer, I have been doing all the landscaping projects that I have been daydreaming about. I am outside planting trees and building a patio. Carrying concrete blocks and using a shovel is a good work out! I also have switched to a vegetarian diet.
