In lieu of the recent Liaison Dangereuse post about sexy lingerie adverts, below are more curves, more black lace and whole lot of more pushing the envelop from Agent Provocateur.

While, adverts of this nature have been around for quite sometime, it is arguable that lingerie adverts such as this, which border raunchy, rather than sexy, were brought aggressively into the forefront by Agent Provocateur.

Judge for yourself below:-

Love Me Tender, or Else!

Tie Me Up

Let Them Eat Kate [Moss]

Mini-Commerical Film: The Four Dreams of Miss X featuring Kate Moss

Part I – Shadows

Part II – Scale

The infamous Kylie Minogue advert which was banned in the United Kingdom (which is where Agent Provocateur is from)

In contrast to Liaison Dangereuse’s niqab advertisement, Agent Provocateur is quite raunchy, hypersexualized and more in your face. There isn’t anything subtle about them. But again, they’ve never claimed or wanted to be anything but that.

However, at the same time, unlike Liaison Dangereuse, they have a ‘type’ and a formula and stick to it. Agent Provocateur is very successful at what they do in their own niche and nothing is wrong with that because of their audience, brand identity etc.

What you see is what you get — this is what they are about.

Liaison Dangereuse and their “Sexiness for everyone. Everywhere.” is what I think are more along the lines of, ‘different strokes for different folks.’

You either like it or you hate it, it offends you or it doesn’t and at some point you should question motivation and creativity because that’s what makes and advert worthy of being talked about.
