In a deleted scene from the sixth Harry Potter film installment, Harry Potter & the Half Blood Prince, released by the WB Italy, audiences get a deeper glimpse into the calm before the storm that is the first Battle of Hogwarts.
The eerie scene, set to an even eerier sounding choir, gives audiences the look and feel of darkness as it descends upon the Hogwarts Castle.
I got goosebumps when the camera panned over to Severus Snape. The lighting effects for those few seconds were amazing. It’s the way Potter should be.
I’ve said before, how much I adored Tom Felton’s performance in the Half-Blood Prince and in this scene, the camera pans above this bed in the Hospital Wing of the castle.
I really wish that they had kept this scene in the film because, as an avid reader of the Harry Potter novels, I felt the sixth film was way to comical.
The seriousness of Voldemort’s return and the allusions to Severus Snape (is he good or is he evil), were completely lost…even at the end.
So, what did you think?
