Desi R&B singing sensation Jay Sean is back…and he’s cracked the American market. Oh, yes!

Teaming up with Hip-Hop superstar Lil Wayne, Jay Sean returns to the  music scene with a new catchy tune called “Down.” It’s cracked the American mainstream market and is currently no.13 on iTunes.

Long awaited, and many moons long past My Against Myself – it’s finally happened. I personally LOVE this track. It’s a little different than previous Jay and is quite of a different [Read more…]

{iStyle & Beautirati Combo} The Lazy Girl’s Guide to Looking Fab

I am not a morning person. As much as I love getting dolled up, I can be a bit lazy. Okay, more than a bit. I’m an absolute bum, but I refuse to look like it. I’ve been told I look high maintenance, but the truth is I’m pretty low maintenance. I cut my hair every 4-6 months, wash it every few days, hate to touch-up my makeup, and have a huge snooze button habit. Most days, I roll out of bed, brush teeth, dry shampoo hair, do something with my face, dress, and run. Somewhere in there, I feed and clothe a sleepy small child, take out the dog {which frequently takes up way more time than it should because I swear Lola has A.D.D.}, and deal with any “surprises” that spring up on me at 7 o’clock in the morning {like: “BTW mommy, it’s make your own silly sock day.”}

You’ve heard of the 5-minute face? Right, so start the clock. [Read more…]

{Confessions of a PRetty Social Girl} Hi, My name is Gen-Y, will you hire me?

Have you ever read Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist?

It’s a really interesting story about a shepherd boy who goes in search of his personal legend and lately I’ve been thinking about it a lot. I’m a Gen-Y you see, who is pretty much jobless and because of the recession it seems like I’m stuck in an endless spiral of confusion and complex whirlwinds I never imagined facing back in December 2008 when I was prepping to gradute.

I grew up with everyone telling me, ‘go to college, get a degree, get two in fact, work hard…you’ll land the job’ — well, a recession changes that now doesn’t it?

Do you ever sit down and wonder [Read more…]

Clouded Glasses: Disney’s TweedleDumber ‘Alice’ PR fail

Right so — I’m excited about ‘Alice‘ and you’re excited about ‘in Wonderland‘ too. So much so, that Twitter’s been trending it for hours, Facebook status messages are popping up and there is buzz in the blogsphere.

But does someone, anyone for that matter, want to explain to me — why in the world Disney is pulling the trailer for the film from YouTube & alike?

So we all know, that YES, Tim Burton is supposed to show the trailer at San Diego’s Comic-Con tomorrow — but are you really surprised it leaked early?

Comin-Con will have a few hundred people attend, but YouTube has a few million [Read more…]

Burton is such an untraditional director, even the strange seem stranger [Read more…]

Sarah Palin, You Make Me Wonder….

I know, she’s everyone favourite “rag” doll; no comment left unspoken, no wine left untasted, she dreamed a dream…or something like it.

While, trying to seem as level-headed as possible about this, Sarah Palin makes me wonder about the future of the human race.

Laugh, go on, I know you want to [Read more…]
