Music Monday – Pour Que Tu M’Aimes Encore

New to the Little Pink Book starting today we will be integrating our blog, Twitter and FriendFeed to a whole new level, by posting our selection for #MusicMonday and why.

#MusicMonday is a Monday Twitter trend where you tweet the song you are currently listening too, or tweet a track that you enjoy.

So every Monday, alongside {Rules of PR}, the Little Pink Book will feature our #MusicMonday choice and why we love it.

First up is two of our favourite songs by Francophone superstar, Celine Dion: “Pour Que Tu M’Aimes Encore” and “Then You Look At Me.”

I first heard “Then You Look At Me” while watching “So You Think You Can Dance” two summers ago on Fox. The track was utilized by world-class choreographer Mia Michaels for Laruen and Danny to dance in a contemporary piece.

Simple. Fitting. Exquisite and have loved it ever since.

I first heard “Pour Que Tu M’Aimes Encore” about 11 years ago when I was on Toronto for a wedding visiting some family. The track was actually re-recorded by Dion and covered in English on her “Falling Into You” album. Originally featured on “Deux,” nothing can compare to the original French version which is simply beautiful. It’s been covered by Lara Fabian and Il Divo, but no one can sing it quite like Mrs. Dion.
